18-Column Paper Worksheets and Lots of Pencils

    Although my accounting career began with 18-column paper worksheets and lots of

pencils, it is difficult to remember how we managed to get anything accomplished before

the advent of the spreadsheet.  Beginning with the introduction of Lotus 1-2-3, and later

with the widespread use of Microsoft Excel, the business desktop would never be the
